A patient travelled all the way from Fiji to India for bypass surgery, under the care of the surgeon and the medical team at the hospital.
From the day he was admitted, my team was there. We helped coordinate his treatment, and we stayed through his recovery and his follow-up. We supported him, and we supported his family, at every step. Being there when patients are far away from home is what this work is about.
Today he is completely fit, fine and back to his normal life. Seeing him like this is truly special.
